i don't know why my 2004 nissan maxima is weird, but it is. this part fit perfectly, even though it was made for altimas. the transmission mount for the maxima looks like it's supposed to go under the transmission, but the mount in my car was on top. if you look behind your older maxima's battery and see this mount on top of the transmission, then yes, it will fit.
