Installed on a 46RE. Don't remove the drain plug unless you want it to leak. It doesn't appear to be NPT tap (I didn't pull the plug). It is painted with the pan in one shot so it is sealed at least via the paint. The mating flanges aren't square, they have a slight curvature that is more than noticeable on a flat surface. Dodge doesn't stock the factory gaskets around me anymore so I had to use the flat aftermarket rubber seal. Used RTC on both sides, let it tack for 10 minutes, installed and torqued. Let is sit overnight and filled the next day. Driving for two weeks now with no leaks. Be aware JCWhitney will come after you for a review. I received no less that 3 emails asking for a review. SO here is a stamped pan made in china to their exacting standards that does the job.

I am sure this is a good pan, but just make sure that you order the right one. There are two pans for the 2007 Tahoe. Don't just plug in 2007 Tahoe and assume that the right one is sent. Take a look at the model number of your transmission.
