I waited to review this trunk lid for my 1989 mustang until after it arrived and I had time to fit it. Ordering was simple and delivery was quick. Shipping was well below other sites. The trunk arrived without damage. Took very little to fit the trunk and it looks great painted. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Overall it's a great trunk lid, buttttt it arrived with some damage. It goes on easy and works great. I'd recommend it, but just check for damage upon arrival.

showed up in a few days and looks great yes these fit coupes and convertibles you have to drill the 3 holes for a convertible its easy to do. cant believe the price is so good

Answered by Marvin P. / Thu, Dec 17It will fit but Its not a direct fit, because of the mounting brackets on the outside of the trunk on a convertible,but if you have some pretty good experience with body work or fabrication or know someone who does you can make it work,if you are concerned about not being able to fab it up you should try to find a nice used one and get it.. hope this helps

Answered by Grace G. / Sat, Feb 06Yes it will fit an 89 convertible you will have to drill the 3 holes on each side for the hinges on top. I bought one for an 89 convertible last year and other than having to drill the 3 holes on each side it fit great!
