The lock did fit into the mounting hole but at a quarter turn off. So instead of the key slot being straight up and down (vertical) it is sideways (horizontal). This also caused me to have to put a quarter turn twist in the shank/rod that turns the latch. Finally the rod that came with the kit was too short so I had to use my old one which fortunately barely fit into the lock. So actually it was the wrong part but because of my ingenuity I was able to make it work.
