I brought the plastic oem replacement due to funds. My old one was shot. The crown version was very similar to stock. One of the alignment pegs on the drivers side was broken off and there was a small crack around the hole for the rocker nut on the top. I kept the part becaise i needed to have my jeep running. I used jb weld and repaired the crack.
Install was easy. So far no leaks.

There was no instructions with the product. One would think it would be striaght forward and no instructions would be needed. That's what I thought. But with the myriad of cables, hoses and such traversing across the top of the valve cover, it was challenging to remove the old cover and install the new one without having to drain the radiator and remove other major parts. There were also some problems getting the grommets inserted and the accompanying oil cap was pretty chinzy. Instructions and caveats would have been helpful.
