Question: not matching the shape if my value cover gasket thats comes up for my car 07 328i?Chad S. / Jan 22, 2021
Hi Chad, Based on our application guide, this part fits the 2007 BMW 328i Base 6 Cyl 3.0L with OE number 11127552281. I would recommend contacting your local dealership with your VIN number to ask for the OE number of the part for the vehicle so that we can cross-reference it with our parts.

You need to change the cover and gasket together, won’t work if you change just the gasket.

Question: Is this the original and if its not is it as good as the original ?A Shopper / Mar 24, 2021
Hi, It is an aftermarket, with OE (Original Equipment) specifications engineered to be exactly like the original OEM standards. This has similar features and specifications as the original part that it replaces.

No it is not the original but nearly identical. The difference was in the filler cap; I had to remove a small amount of additional mold so the OEM cap could fasten. Not difficult. And I definitely preferred to have an additional amount there instead of there not being enough.

It is the Original. I bought one myself.

Question: I was wondering if my problem was the valve cover, i was told by the mechanic but he wasnt sure i have a bmw 528i 2008 and ive been hearing some whistling sounds when i go up or press on the gas at a constant speed. Also ive got notifications saying i need to add more oil which i did, i dont know if it had to do with it  or its just regular bmw? Sometimes when the car is in park and i turn the engine on i hear a sound like a belt circulating too not the usual soundJalal / Feb 21, 2021
Hi Jalal, For accurate diagnostic and repair, we recommend referring to a trusted vehicle specific repair manual for details about this particular problem you are experiencing. Still, it is best to consult your trusted local auto repair shop or dealership for this if you need to. You need a certified mechanic to check that kind of problem actually.

If you have oil consumption or loss; 99% of the time it is the valve cover. The BMW is notorious for this. The whistling sound will come from air being sucked in from your oil fill cap because the PCV is plugged; which will also cause oil consumption. The valve is integrated into the valve cover. This problem is common and diagnostics is pretty straightforward however the labor is tedious but it isn't difficult to do if you plan ahead nor hard to learn.

It’s not unusual for them to crack, get it smoke tested
