Question: I have a P0456 diagnostic code according to Auto Zone. Supposedly the leak is very small: .02 inch. I tightened the gas cap but my "service engine soon" light is still illuminated. Answered by Grace G. / Thu, Jan 12Check your gas cap, make sure your rubber seal is still on it if not buy an new one, if you put gas in your car and then try an start it and it hesitates then it’s the canister you need to replace, I replaced mine, very simple, YouTube diy

Answered by Grace G. / Fri, Oct 07The fitting with the o-ring has a plastic tube that slides over the o-ring. On my daughter's Nissan Versa, the plastic tube was melted so I found a rubber hose big enough to slide over it and it worked just fine.
