But then the part came on Saturday, which may be very happy. The part was easy to put on talk about five minutes and my car is running right now. Thank you.

Question: where is this solenoid location?Kyle M. / Feb 04, 2021
Hi Kyle, The variable valve timing solenoid is located at the front of the engine, typically near the front of the valve cover. Try looking at the solenoid to match the shape. The connector is the exposed end of the variable valve timing solenoid.

Question: Does the gasket go on at the top of the valve cover or do I need to remove the valve cover? Will J. / Mar 13, 2025
Hi Will, I am pleased to assist you. When replacing a variable timing solenoid, the gasket's placement depends on the specific design of your vehicle's engine. It typically installs without removing the valve cover. The gasket or o-ring sits flush against the engine surface, sealing the solenoid in place. To install, simply locate the old solenoid, disconnect the electrical connector, and remove the mounting bolts. After cleaning the seating area, insert the new solenoid with the gasket properly aligned, secure it with bolts, and reconnect the wiring. Once installed, start the engine and check for leaks to ensure a proper seal. If your vehicle information matches this product, use the link below to order while the part is in stock.
