Question: what are symptoms of a bad variable timing solenoids?billy / Sep 04, 2020
Hi William,
Unfortunately, we still would recommend referring to a trusted local automotive repair shop or dealership for a more comprehensive diagnostic troubleshooting to be done on your vehicle. A good vehicle specific repair manual is also an option.
You can find more information here: https://www.carparts.com/blog/why-you-should-always-consult-a-repair-manual/

On the vehicle we were repairing there was a terrible rattle/knocking noise coming from the top end of the engine and the vehicle lacked the proper horsepower and felt like it was shifting when it shouldn't be. Often you will get a check engine light when it fails but not always.
