Question: I have a 2014 ford explorer with manual folding mirrors. If i buy this, and upgraded power folding mirrors, will it work with my Ford explorer. I read on the power folding mirror question that I dont have enough prongs in the termanal for it to work. However, if i buy this will I get the 16 hole socket connector? https://www.carparts.com/details/Ford/Explorer/Kool_Vue/Mirror/2014/Base/6_Cyl_3-dot-5L/FD360ER-S.htmlGabe / Aug 29, 2024
Hi Gabriel, thanks for initiating contact. This passenger-side mirror is designed for vehicles with power folding capabilities. Since your 2014 Ford Explorer has manual folding mirrors, it is not compatible due to the electrical and connector differences. Even if you replace the connector with a 16-hole connector, your vehicle will not have the proper electrical wiring to make it work. If you want to have power-folding mirrors, it is best to consult with a professional auto-electrical mechanic for advice. I hope this helps. Have a nice day.
