Should be able to find that info - other questions to ask (since I don’t know your 98) are 6 or 8 cyl? 5.4, 4.6 or 4.2 liter, is it rwd, etc. also recommend taking a picture to compare so you make sure that you are buying the right tank. Compare all holes and connections to ensure holes/male and female connections are correct. I went by what was suggested by the web site, but when I compared the pictures of the 2 tanks, it was wrong. Found the exact match comparing the old with the new. Good luck!

The site will ask for your trucks info XL single cab 4x4 ect. fill that in and it will tell you if the part fits you can also call ford dealer parts manager and find out.
