This is not a side-mount tank. This is considered as the front 20-gallon tank located before the rear axle.

The one I bought mounts on the driver’s side. It was a dual tank system and I converted it to a single tank. You have to bypass the tank changeover valve and make sure you hook the suction line and return line to the correct pipes/hoses

This tank I ordered replaced my drivers side tank and fit perfect in my 1978 Chevy C20.

These tanks fit on either side. The fill hose is curved to connect the left or right inlet.

The answer is YES! I bought 2 tanks from here for my 79 k15 resto project after the fuel tanks had pinholes throughout from rust. I replaced the entire fuel system from top to bottom & these were the cheapest and easiest for get ahold of for a replacement. Both tanks mount up identical, other than mirroring each other because of opposing mounting sides. The only other thing that is different is your fuel sending unit orientation and hoses between all the hard lines.
