Good tank but wrong sender.40 Gallons / 151 Liters, Galvanized Steel Fuel Tank
4.0/5
Tank is a good fit. However when I ordered a sending unit for the 40 gallon tank, I received a sending unit for a 30 gallon tank. Did not realize this until I ran out of gas when testing. By now it was past the 30 days to return the sender.

Question: Is the inside coated I’m planning on retrofitting the tank to hold diesel, just making sure?Chace / Aug 09, 2024
Hi Chace, I'm glad to assist you. The inside of a fuel tank is typically not painted or galvanized. Instead, fuel tanks are usually made from materials that are resistant to corrosion and fuel degradation. Modern fuel tanks are coated with a special resin or plastic liner rather than paint or galvanization. These coatings are designed to be inert and resistant to gasoline, preventing corrosion and contamination. Grab our price-cut promo and click the link below to buy it today. Question: Hello, I have a 1978 GMC 25 Serria pick up truck.  I have the double gas tank system.  Which tank should i order to replace it?  Thank you.JimB. / Apr 14, 2022
Hi James, I'm glad to assist you. You have not mentioned the exact engine size since it is also important for us to give you the accurate part. For us to determine correctly the part that you need, please provide the complete information of your vehicle (year, make, model, submodel, and engine size). The 17-character VIN would also be very helpful. I hope this helps. Happy shopping.

Question: Regarding the GM25A, what is the correct sending unit for this tank?tanner t. / Dec 06, 2020
Hi Tanner, The sending unit depends on the vehicle application. To check the correct sending unit and fitment please use our Vehicle Selector — which can be found towards the top of the homepage as well as all categories, search results, and product pages — can help verify if a part will fit your specific application. To enter your application, simply select your vehicle’s year, make, model, sub-model, and engine type and click “Go.” Once your application is selected, you’ll see a “Guaranteed to Fit” badge if the part will fit, and we recommend that you also double-check Your Vehicle Fit Details as well as the Vehicle Fitment Information table on the product page.
