I bought one of these in October 2016. By February, it was already leaking. So I got another one, and installed it in March. By August, it was leaking, too. Very disappointed! I hate fixing the same thing over and over. :(

Answered by Aldrin P. / Mon, Jun 12Question: hi, 1 description somewhere said this also fits an 89. another description somewhere says it fits a 3.0 v6… those 2 are what I have & this looks exactly like my gas tank(in size & shape anyway. why would it not work with 3.0s? & on the same note, how is this tank any different than the one ending as 102?(which is same in picture) - are the shape & size between 105(this) & 102 any differant? & if not(& shape/size are the same, as in picture), is there any difference that would make 1 work with 3.0 & 1 not?🤔eric K. / Apr 30, 2022
Hi Eric, thank you for reaching out. We have no description for this item stating it fits a 6-cylinder engine. We also checked with the dealer's catalog and the part is only listed for a 4-cylinder engine. We don't have any information on the physical differences between the tanks. We only go by fitment information. 105 is for models with a short bed and the other is for models with a long bed.
