I installed the Curt #13084 on my 2000 Cherokee limited. I ordered at midnight sun and received it by noon on wed. .It took me about 30 min to install . already used it and it looks great too. Hi Calin, I'm glad to help you out. The phrase "up to 8000lbs." only means that some receiver hitch can reach that weight capacity, but not all the the class III hitch has the same rating. A higher class hitch does not increase the towing capacity of the hitch. The trailer weight rating also depends on the towing capacity of the vehicle.
