Curt Class V installed on 2000 Ford F350 SDHitch 2 In. Receiver

I replaced the stock trailer hitch (6,000 lb rating) on my 2000 Ford F350 Super Duty Crew Cab Dually with the Curt 12,000/14,000 Class V receiver.
The removal of the old reciever took about 5 minutes (simply removed 8 bolts). The old hitch was fairly light; I performed the removal by myself on the ground without jacking up the vehicle.
However, I was unable to install the Curt hitch by myself be cause it weighs 63 lbs. While on my back I couldn't balance the hitch and get bolts started. I asked a neighbor to help.
With my neighbor's assistance the installation took approximately 30 minutes. It was easier to access some of the bolts by removing the spare tire. The stock trailer wiring harness touched the Curt hitch which was easily fixed by simply bending the wiring mounting plate about half an inch.
We torqued the grade 5 bolts to 110 ft-lbs, then the install was finished!
A very easy job overall, and the hitch looks absolutely amazing... industrial quality for sure.
