This is the ENGINE oil pan. It covers the crank shaft and oil pump pickup. If you have to ask this question take the car to a repair shop!

Question: What Gauge metal is the oil pan as compared to OEM manufactured vs replacement?David K. / Jun 24, 2022
Hi David, I'm glad to assist you. The thickness gauge of the oil pan is not noted anymore since this is a direct-fit vehicle-specific part. This aftermarket part conforms to the factory's original oil pan's OEM specifications (with the same thickness gauge). Click the link below to order this today. No. The oil pan installation does not use a gasket. A silicon sealant is used, such as Permatex RTV silicon gasket maker. You must reuse the screws that you took out. And you should torque the screws to 61 In-lbs (5 ft-lbs)
