Does come with a drain plug, and lubricant gasket is all it needs. That is all I used and the person before me, and it has worked wonderfully.

Question: My wife hit a rock and the pan now has a very slow leak. I examined it to see if I could change it, but 1 of the 2 nuts (i.e., rest are bolts) is "wedged under" the car frame and my wrench cannot loosen it. Is there a special tool available to remove this nut (or is that why it is $400 in labor to change the pan)? Any other suggestions to remove this nut?Miles H. / Dec 05, 2021
Hello! You would normally use an engine support bar to slightly lift the engine for better access to the nuts and bolts.

It has probably been about a year since I did my wife’s 09 venza 6cylinder. I slightly remember the two nuts your referring to. From what I remember I got most of the bolts with a ratchet and the remaining nuts with a wrench. It might have even been a flex head. Just be sure to use black rtv as well as the gasket and just take your time. I think it took about an hour. You shouldn’t need any special tools. Good luck!

does the wrench not fit. will a standard socket fit? Use the longest handled ratchet you have or a breaker bar, also heat up the the area around the bolt. bolt with a torch. How meta expands so if you were thrying to get a nut off a bolt you would heat up the nut. It would expand and make it easier to unscrew. So use this advice with knowing where not to heat up and get reversed results. Long breaker bar small torch. The rest of the pan is abc. Use RTV high h eat silicone around the corners of the gasket when installing the new pan (helps prevent leaks out of the gasket. Just ask the auti parts gfuy and tell hgim your installing a oil pan
