Wound have worked very well but it was not the switch it was the seat motors that were bad. Had to replace whole seat did not need the switch after all.

Question: My 2012 Ford Fusion sel drivers use power seat works except it won’t move forward it moves in all directions but forward.. is it the switch or motor ?Farron / Mar 12, 2021
Hi Farron,
It could be any of the two parts that could have turned defective already. Please have that checked on an auto repair shop to see what you really need to replace and order. An actual checking and troubleshooting has to be done. It could also be a fuse or relay that could be busted only if ever.

Answered by Jeonino E. / Sat, Mar 13I had a similar problem and had to check the power at the motor with a volt meter. I found no power at the connector from the switch. I had to get the wiring diagram online. Just perform a search for your particular make and model and year.

Answered by David B. / Fri, Mar 12I have a 2008 lincoln mkx, the passenger seat would go back but wouldn't come back up. I replaced it with the new switch and everything worked again.
