I bought a gates belt tensioner kit a year ago and installed it. The belt was to tight and I also ended up buying smaller pulleys. Worked for 9months before the bearings went.
Decided to buy the Ac Delco kit and again the belt is to tight.
The tensioner and the pulleys are identical for both kits. Same part #s
The belt is a 1/4" short in both cases!
True the belt doesn't come off but I'm sure the bearings will fail and I will have the same problem!
The perfect fit replacement kit is not a perfect fit!!!
