Replaced the standard two piece axil easily. Getting rid of that was the best decision ever!!
Outer shield came bent. They could do a better bubble wrap job. Was easy to straiten.

The axle was damaged .Treads stripped and metal plate bent .This was not a new axle.I repair the axle so I could use it.My only vehicle was down for a week .I would like a refund .

Hi Derek,
This is a front right axle shaft with u-joint on the opposite end. The seal could be separate since Crown automtive does not mention if the seal is included. Please see link below from our supplier's online catalog.

Answered by Aldrin P. / Sat, Sep 12Your Jeep is a YJ and I'm not sure what differential you have (Dana 30, 35 etc). There are some excellent videos on YouTube and a good many blogs that can better point you in the right direction. I have a TJ with a Dana 30 up front, so it was a snap (after disassembling the passenger side hub which in older vehicles can be a chore!). I would suggest changing the hub assembly as well (unless you know for sure that the bearing is good, and you're not going to damage it in removal). I hope this helps.
