With the continuous rise of car prices in the market, a lot of consumers are struggling to find a model with above-average performance that will not break the bank.

In an attempt to provide more options to buyers, Honda is introducing an upgraded Civic Si complete with new interior changes and colors.

With the release of the Honda Civic Type R in 2018 boasting a 306 horsepower, the Civic Si has built its image as the most exciting Civic for sale. But with a starting price of $24,300 compared to the Type R’s $35,700, the Si could still gain a decent following.

Putting horsepower aside, the Civic Si is fully capable of providing the same thrill to drivers at a fraction of the Type R’s cost.

Honda will introduce an upgraded Civic Si with new interior upgrades and colors.

For a small, lightweight vehicle, the Si’s 205 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque is more than enough. Add to that the car’s sound, instant response, 6,500-rpm capacity, and six-speed manual transmission, drivers could really get a bang for their buck with the model.

But given all these features, Honda is still looking to improve the already marketable vehicle.

For the 2019 model year, the Honda Civic Si will get a revised display audio system with a volume knob and physical buttons for key functions. This is a huge improvement over a touchscreen-only interface,, which has been a source of complaints from owners.

It will also get bigger cup holders, new steering wheel buttons, a revised switch for electronic parking brake, and real buttons to set the fan speed. Additionally, the display behind the steering wheel comes fully customizable and the infotainment system is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While the tweaks seem simple, Honda thinks they make the car more intuitive to use.

Aside from the interior changes, the Si’s coupe trim will also be offered with new colors such as Platinum White Pearl and Tonic Yellow Pearl.
