Ordered for my 2001 4Runner with california emissions (2 cats). The flange has a pipe in the middle that exceeds and inserts into an opening on the headers. I believe that this piping sticks out too long, and caused a pretty gnarly gap between the flanges (OEM cats has a flush seal). The predrilled holes on the new Cat flange did not fit the header studs and caused some issues. Had to extend/widen all holes for it to even allow the studs to insert. 1 Week later and it is still holding up well. Pretty happy with the outcome, and some modifications are expected as it is a 25+ year old car.

Answered by Aldrin P. / Sun, Sep 13It is the correct pipe. Fit and function are good. Be sure to install all bolts loosely at first, then tighten up. Had to do a small amount of bending to get the driver side to fit correctly.

Please check the Vehicle Emission Control Information sticker usually found underneath the hood of the car to make sure the catalytic converter matches the car's Emission label specifications.
