Hi Cleveland, I'm pleased to assist you. Yes, this is designed to replace the points and condenser in an older vehicle's ignition system with a more modern electronic ignition module. Installing this kit should eliminate the need to set the points in the future. The points in a traditional ignition system need to be adjusted periodically to ensure proper engine performance.
