Hi Mike,
The headlight assembly is complete with lens, housing, and bulbs included. This is a plug and play part simply replacing your original factory headlight. I checked and blowed up the image of our headlight and I am not really seeing the strip rubber you are referring to(or probably hard to see on the image). However, the edge of the top housing shows a dark lining that goes on the side portion which is probably what you are referring to. This headlight should simply be installed and the focus adjusted for proper use.

Yes and no. The headlamp is included. The side marker light is not included. This headlight set is a great value for the money. It made my 2004 Ram 1500 look like a new truck.
