Curt Frame HitchesHitch 2 In. Receiver
5.0/5
This hitch is great. It took a few minutes looking at the very detailed instructions, but my dad and my son had it installed in about 1-1/2 hours. It looks great and it works very well.

Nice ProductHitch 2 In. Receiver
4.0/5
I didn't realize this unit was not a bolt-up fit when I ordered. The installation requires cutting into the unibody frame to feed the attachment bolts into the frame. Curt provides easy to understand instructions and a ingenious 'fish wire' to fish the bolts through the frame and into position. The installation time was optimistic for me, took me 2-1/2 hours and I typically can beat the novice time estimates.

Question: Can I leave the spare tire in place with this hitch?Andrew G. / Mar 04, 2021 / 1996 GMC C1500Hitch 2 In. Receiver
Hi Andrew, On some receiver hitch installations, the rear spare tire stored underneath the vehicle will be in your way as you install the hitch. If specified in the instructions, remove it and set it aside. Here is the link to the installation instructions from the manufacturer; https://assets.curtmfg.com/masterlibrary/13082/installsheet/13082_INS.pdf
