Ive had K&N filters in the past, this one showed up with the same amount of quality I expected. Great product, in like the idea of creating less waste and having a reusable filter. Haven't driven the car enough to know if gas mileage went up; I think I gained 1 mpg on the previous car with a similar filter. They can claim all the power they want, but lets be real; a panel filter isnt going to be dropped in your car and you magically run 10 secons quarter miles. Sure, maybe it gained 1 or 2 HP, but you're never going to notice that in your grocery getter.
