2005 siennaHitch 2 In. Receiver
4.0/5
It came in a large cardboard box. The box was heavy duty, but the hitch was not secured inside the box (loose in the box), so it appeared to come through as the box had been taped up several times, probably in transit. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't scratched up as others had said. The hitch, in my opinion should be widened about 1/2 inch or so. This would have made the install a lot easier and quicker. Installed the hitch on my 2005 sienna. It took me about 3 hours, mostly because I did it by myself (instructions said 45 minutes). I had a hard time starting the bolts so I sprayed the underside of the car with a hose and then chased the threads with a bolt to clean the threads do to all the accumulated junk. The first bolt went in easy. When I went to do a bolt on the other side, I had a hard time lining up the bolt. I took a wonder bar and plied to spread the hitch. I put a 1/2 inch piece of wood between between the hitch and the car (cargo area) so I could get it lined up. I had to fight to get the other bolts to line up (used a rubber mallet to tap it around. The bolts got very, very snug as I screwed them in. Not sure if this was by design, or because of the pressure on the bolts from the receiver or maybe I should have cleaned the bolt holes some more before mounting. I finally got all 6 bolts in. It took an surprising amount of torque to get the bolts all the way. I was surprised that it did come with a straight ball mount, which wasn't in the picture It did not come with a pin to hold the ball mount in place though.
