Hi Cathey, thanks for initiating contact. This sun shade is mounted using clips that attach to the inside of the windshield with durable 3M foam tape. It is not permanently mounted. You simply stick the clips to the inside of the windshield, then hang the shade on the hooks. This allows the shade to be easily removed and reinstalled as needed.
