This filter is thicker than the OEM part and the pan will not fit due to the thickness of this filter. 2008 Ford F250 super duty 5.4L. this filter may work for a deeper pan that is not the OEM Pan

Based on your feedback, it appears this filter may be intended for use with an aftermarket deep transmission pan rather than the OEM pan on your 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty 5.4L.
