Out of the box they seem really clean and ready to go. However, upon examination I noticed that the slide pins were just about stuck. After removing the pins from the pad holders, I could see that there was a substantial amount of old dirt and grit inside the slide pin ports. It took a good amount of brake cleaner and rolled up paper towels down into the ports to clean them. After cleaning and re-greasing, the movement of the pins is good. I hope this is not indicative of how the inside of the caliper was remanufactured.
