Part is good, VW makes it nearly impossible to put the thing in. Skinny 13mm socket recommended with a swivel joint and a 6” extension.

Hi Christine, Thank you for sharing this review about the quality of the EGR Filter. We apologize if this has caused you any inconvenience. Based on CarParts, com, SKU No. GXL1K0253120 will fit a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta TDI. Moreover, our products are produced by certified ISO9001:2000 and QS9000 facilities that produce precision OE components. We use the same manufacturers as many famous US brands. Nevertheless, we will relay your feedback to our supplier so they can investigate further and improve where it's needed. Thank you.

Question: Are you calling the EGR filter the same as the Diesel Particulate Filter in this instance? I have a 2014 VW Beetle Convertible TDI. Please let me know, David E.David E. / Aug 22, 2024
Hi David, thanks for initiating contact. No, it is not the same as the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). The EGR filter's primary function is to filter the exhaust gases that are recirculated back into the engine to reduce emissions, while the DPF is designed to trap and store particulate matter from the exhaust gases to reduce soot emissions. We currently do not have the diesel particulate filter for the 2014 Volkswagen Beetle TDI 4 Cyl 2.0L. Thank you for inquiring. Have a nice day!
