Question: Are these HID bulbs? If not, then will the ballasts handle them? Do you have to change the ballasts, or remove them?Anthony D. / Jun 28, 2020
Hello! Yes, these are HID bulbs. Your original ballasts should work fine and will not need to be removed. However, I will generally try switching ballasts left to right when a headlight fails, just to rule out a ballast failure. If the same light is out after switching ballasts, then you know it's a bad bulb.

Answered by Grace G. / Tue, Jun 21In my opinion I would say that with these D2R headlights or any head light like Xenen or halogen, should be replaced at the same time, due to the fact that over time the headlight will slowly start to lose its brightness, and if you only replace the one, one headlight will be brighter then the other, and in your case not the same color either.
