Hi Keith, I am pleased to assist you. No, this headlight is designed specifically for halogen bulbs and typically will not accept an HID bulb due to differences in the type of socket, ballast, and wiring. You will need a conversion kit and a lot of work just to use an HID bulb. If your goal is just to have brighter beams, you can simply replace the halogen bulbs with LEDs; you don't need any conversions. Just make sure to get the same base as the original bulbs.
