2005 Lexus RX330 Headlight assembly replacementDriver And Passenger Side Hid/Xenon Headlights, Without Bulb(S), For Models Without Adaptive Front-Lighting System, Japan Built Vehicle
5.0/5
I was able to get my headlight assembly (driver and passenger side) replaced with these parts. They fit well. Replaced it on a 2005 RX 330 FWD (VIN starting with 2T...) with AFS! I do see many posts stating that you cannot replace the AFS assembly with a non-AFS assembly. It does fit! I took it to a local shop that specialized in installing car lights etc. A technician from a different shop looked at it and said it could not be done; I guess he didn't know what to do. BTW I did not want to put close to $2000 for an OEM part with AFS. I know I gave up AFS but happy with the replacement for an old car.

Question: Can you please send me the instructions for how to adjust the headlights? Mine are pointing extremely low upon replacement.Preston S. / Feb 13, 2022
Hello! The silver Philips head screws on the back of the headlight can be turned to raise and lower the cutoff of the beams.

Hello Preston, Without photos this is harder to communicate. I am not a social media expert so perhaps there is a way to submit them but I do not know how through Carparts. Bottom line for me to adjust the low beam hight alignment was to remove the right angle "extension" piece that has a phillips head screw meant to adjust the headlight per Lexus instructions in the manual. It is a right angle plastic piece that has a metal bolt extender that attaches to the most inner (towards the center of the car when mounted) hex bolt. Removing this piece reveals two additional hex bolts 5/16". One hex bolt is an adjustment that moves the light left/right which I ignore. The other bolt is one of two that adjusts the height of the swinging lens. To raise the lens, tighten both corresponding bolts before mounting the headlight ( because the bolt furthest out is hard to access/turn once mounted without special tools. I turned mine clockwise about three full turns (if I remember correctly). Tightening makes the headlight higher. Once the headlight is mounted, then you can access and use a 5/16" wrench to turn/ tighten the inner bolt for a finer adjustment. With the headlight on, adjust and watch how its height changes. If you can access and adjust the outer one, then that would probably be better. JUST BE MINDFUL of the live wires and Battery. The voltage is dangerously high and dropping a wrench on the battery could ruin your day! I hope this helps!

Hi, I am unable to fully respond now being away from the vehicle and parts. Quickly, there are two bolts that one can turn to adjust the lower part of the swinging lens forward and back thereby adjusting the height. I forget which way is to move forward (thus increase height) but I believe it is clockwise. If this can wait until the weekend, I can assist further then, let me know.

Question: I have a RX330 Lexus which type of headlight?  I need to one for driver sideDavid A. / Jul 14, 2024
Hi David, I'm glad to assist you. Please check if you have a Japan or US-built model. If the VIN of your vehicle starts with the letter J, that is a Japan-built model. If the VIN starts with the numbers 1, 4, and 5, that is a US-built model. We do not carry the driver-side headlight for the US-built models. If the Japan model is a match, grab our lowest price and click the link below to buy it today. Question: my broken passenger headlight assembly has a lamp wired to a metal box that I want to transfer to new assembly.  also want to transfer a motor which I believe is auto leveling.  which part do I need to buy?Jay H. / Apr 28, 2022
Hi Jay, I'm pleased to assist you. I believe the metal box you described is called a ballast. Yes, this passenger side headlight is HID light source compatible with the Japan-built 2004-2006 Lexus RX330 with auto-leveling. Upon checking, we do not currently have the headlight motor. If interested, click on the link below to order at 78% off the regular price today while supplies last. I hope this is helpful. Question: Will this fit a 2005 rx330 Canadian model? I have afs but don’t care about the feature as long as this fits and works .Joe77 / Apr 03, 2022
Hi Joe, I'm glad to assist you. No, this is not compatible. This headlight does not have the adaptive front light (AFS ) feature and is for Japan-built Lexus only. The socket connectors would not match. As it turns out, we do not carry the headlights matching your Canadian-built Lexus. Still, you might need other parts, such as a front brake disc and pad kit. We have a kit on discounted sale price offer today with part number CRK196. Click the link below to check and order the set, if ever. I hope this helps.
