Hitch 1.25 In. Receiver
5.0/5
Excellent hitch... I use it for a large bike rack and two bikes. It's substantial enough to carry a light trailer.

Question: Does this hitch need to be welded on? And if not how much safer is getting one welded to my 2011 golf TdiJamey P. / Jun 16, 2021
Hi Jamey, I'm glad to help you out. This part does not fit the 2011 Volkswagen Golf TDI 4 Cyl 2.0L. We have a direct-fit hitch for the vehicle (link below). You can spot weld the hitch which would make it permanently attached to the vehicle. Some vehicle owners only put on the hitch when needed thus, bolt-on attachment is more preferred. This hitch I recommend is designed to fit into the bolt holes of the vehicle's frame, so drilling is not required. I hope this helps, and if you're interested to see the hitch, you can click on the link below to easily order and take advantage of our ongoing sale and limited stocks. Happy shopping. https://www.carparts.com/details/Volkswagen/Golf/Curt/Hitch/2011/TDI/4_Cyl_2-dot-0L/CUR11000.html?can=CPGG4850

Hi Jamie, that initial answer from Grace is a good answer. I can't speak about your Golf... I have a 2016 Jetta. This was bolted on by the vw dealer. I recommend using the Volkswagen people to do this as they're more familiar with the vehicle and it's frame. I'm very happy with my hitch. I just use it for a bike rack but it's substantial for pulling alight weight trailer. Good Luck! David S

Question: I am wondering if this trailer hitch fits the VW Jetta Sports wagon Diesel?Lars E. / Jun 23, 2020
Hi Lars. Since no year is indicated we are unable to check. Use our Vehicle Selector—which can be found towards the top of the homepage as well as all category, search results, and product pages—can help verify if a part will fit your specific application. To enter your application, simply select your vehicle’s year, make, model, submodel, and engine type and click “Go.” Once your application is selected, you’ll see a “Guaranteed to Fit” badge if the part will fit, and we recommend that you also double-check Your Vehicle Fit Details as well as the Vehicle Fitment Information table on the product page.
