Great Product...Bad DeliveryHitch 2 In. Receiver
4.0/5
When I received the hitch, the box was torn up to the point that the hitch had broken the box open and the delivery company had to tape it back shut. This was caused by a 40-50 pound piece of metal loose in an oversized box. That just doesn't work!! There has to be a better way to package a hitch! Upon installation, I discovered that some of the powder coating had been chipped off during shipping. Not happy!! Had to touch up a couple of places with black paint to keep it from rusting. Other than that, the quality of the product is phenomenal! Sturdy, well made and made in the U.S.A. Ease of installation was also a big plus!

Nice good quality, fit my 2001 Ford Ranger very good, took out one bolt on each side and replace it and holes lined for front bolts, installation is a snap.

Question: I have a 2004 Mazda tribute MVP
I will be driving mobile homes and other vehicles may be a bus or truck I would like to tow my MVP with either of the mobile homes or trucks to the destinations and hook then drive to another location to pick up another mobile home a truck with this be the proper Tobar for me ??Willie S. / Apr 26, 2021
Hi Willie, I'm glad to help you out. This item is a receiver hitch for a Ford Ranger. What you need to get is a tow bar so that you can tow your Mazda Tribute behind a mobile home with a receiver hitch. Click the link below for the available tow bar: https://www.carparts.com/tow-bar/curt/cur19745?&vehicle[model]=Tribute&vehicle[make]=Mazda&vehicle[year]=2004&can=CPAP3648
I hope this helps. Happy shopping.

Answered by Samuel T. / Mon, Apr 26Question: will a 1 7/8 ball work with this 2in hitch?ken / Mar 28, 2025
Hello Ken, I'm glad to assist you. A 1 7/8-inch ball is not appropriate for a 2-inch receiver hitch. The difference is small but can pose a threat to safety. The difference may lead to disconnection of the trailer when it is being towed – especially over bumpy and speedy roads. To ensure utmost safety, we recommend you use a 2-inch ball with a 2-inch receiver hitch. Instead of using the wrong ball size, we suggest modifying the coupler mechanism or seeking an expert for assistance. We recommend our parts specialist for real-time, live, and immediate assistance on our toll-free number, 1-866-529-0412 (Monday through Sunday).
