So not sure if this is even designed for the Sprinter, 1/2 inch gap on each side that needs to be filled in. Also instructions say to use existing bolts yet they send you replacement bolts that do not fit. Also it says to drill out the bolt holes yet there are sleeves inside that would make this a nightmare. Curt needs to go back to the drawing board on this one and make it fit for one thing. If we're using existing bolts then don't include them with the product. There are instructions for adding another mounting bolt with a handy included wire for installation, I won't go there.

Great service and delivery speed from <a href="http://carparts.com." target="_blank">carparts.com.</a> Like a couple reviews of this hitch on YouTube, the hitch was 9/16" too narrow between the frame of my 2003 Sprinter. If the manufacture would have included extra spaces or better yet 2 more of the backing blocks that are 1/4 inch thick, installation would have been much faster. I had to fabricate two 1/4" thick spacers (one for each side to go behind the backing blocks to take up the extra 9/16". Maybe this hitch is a direct fit for other years of T1n Sprinters, but for my 2003, it took me longer to fabricate the extra backing blocks than it did to install the hitch. I expected more

This hitch was exactly what I was looking for. I was a little disappointed when the bolts that shipped with the hitch didn't fit, but after going to the store and getting a couple of stainless steel bolts, the hitch bolted on in minutes with the help of my shop jack. I also bought the wiring harness and the whole operations was maybe 20 minutes. I love it!

Answered by Grace G. / Wed, Jan 18If this is for the Sprinter van the metal step/bumper has to be removed so this can be installed. I just installed one last spring and they can't occupy the same space.
