Love our new hitch.Hitch 2 In. Receiver
5.0/5
The new hitch is exactly as I envisioned. I have had class III hitches installed on my company vans for years and like the fact they are able to tow large trailers, rental eq. etc. This one is installed on our Honda CRV primarily for an eBike rack, but wanted the option to tow a trailer or camper if ever we decide to go that route. I must say, installation is somewhat difficult if you don’t have tools or know what you’re doing. Instructions that came with it are poorly written, the pictures not helpful. For do it yourselfers, go on YouTube and watch a fe videos. That was most helpful to me. Tips, 1. spray the posts holding the exhaust system with WD40 before attempting to lower the exhaust. 2. strap the exhaust up before lowering, 3. buy a prybar, vs trying to use a screw driver or anything else. 4. you MUST use jack stands in order to get clearance under the car to work 5. use a Dremmel tool to cut the plastic bumper and fiber plate under the car. The cuts came out very neat

I purchased this hitch for my 2018 CR-V because I need to do light towing once in a while. Received the package and I watched a U-Tube video on installation. I had no problems installing it. Was worried that maybe my automatic tailgate wouldn’t operate properly once installed, but it works fine.

Question: “Just want to confirm this will work on a 2023 CRV Hybrid sport?…thank you”2023HybridCRV / Jul 12, 2024
Hi Rodrigo, thanks for initiating contact. No, this is unsuitable for the 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport. We do not have the direct-fit hitch compatible with the vehicle. Thank you for inquiring. Have a nice day!

Question: Does this hitch work with the foot sensor on the touring edition?Joseph S. / Aug 23, 2021
Hi Joseph, I'm glad to help you out. Unfortunately, it doesn't. With its design, this will interfere with the tailgate sensor underneath. We currently don't carry a hitch compatible with the CR-V Touring models equipped with automatic tailgates. We suggest checking the local parts stores around your area or the Honda dealership directly on what they have available to offer you. And if you're interested in some of the exterior accessories we have available for the CR-V, you can click on the link below. I hope this helps and happy shopping. https://www.carparts.com/exterior-accessories?&vehicle[year]=2019&vehicle[make]=Honda&vehicle[model]=CR-V&vehicle[submodel]=Touring&vehicle[cylinders]=4&vehicle[liter]=1%2E5&can=CPAE1047
