Hi Anthony, I'm glad to help you out. No. You just need to reset the passlock for the anti-theft system. Once installed, start the car as usual and keep the key in the "On" position. Wait until the "Theft Sys" light is on. It would blink and then go out. This will take approximately 10-15 minutes. I hope this helps.
