Question: hi guys, I have a right hand drive 2008 ford escape 2.3l will this fit ok?
also I noticed a pipe /tube sticking out the side, what is it for.
mine only has the sump plug.
I live in Tasmania Australia.
cheers Pete.peter / Jun 15, 2021
Hi Peter, I'm glad to help you out. Upon checking, this will not fit the right-hand drive (RHD). This is only for the left-hand drive. I checked but, did not find an oil pan for the RHD. And also, we do not deliver directly to Australia. I hope this helps. Have a nice day.

I would not hesitate to go through CarParts first bc their prices are really nice & they really do guarantee, are ALL very professional AND U ACTUALLY GET TO SPEAK with staff there in any department!! Also, in inquiring about another part for my older car, the woman I got on phone in Parts Dept., actually emailed to me, the PICTURE & description of that part that has been so difficult to find to show my mechanic & see if it is the correct part!! I found that service extraordinary because that part has been "discontinued" & yet, CarParts seems to HAVR IT!!! The woman was so kind that she put it "on hold" so I have the time to show my mechanic 😁

Answered by Debbie T. / Wed, Jun 16Hello. My oil pan happen to have a "weak spot" in the corner of pan after I paid mechanic ALOT (over $400.) to install new one. However, I can say that CarParts is awesome in their guarantee policy & extremely accomodating beyond what I thought would be so, my issue I think was a RARE ONE perhaps, so if this man orders a pan for his 2008 Ford, just check it before installing is all. My mechanic could not physically detect my issue in the welding process in that corner!

Answered by Debbie T. / Wed, Jun 16I bought this oil pan for my wife's 2006 focus with the 2.3l and it fits perfectly. there was only a slight difference in the depth of the new oil pan, it is slightly deeper in the center. The tube that you see in the picture is for the oil dipstick tube

Question: There is a port off the side of the 2006 Ford focus oil pan how do you remove The hose from the old oil pan there are no pipe clamps on it ?Greg B. / Apr 17, 2022
Hello! If you are referring to the dipstick tube, it is just sealed with an o-ring, so once you remove the oil pan bolts and lower the oil pan, it will slide out fairly easily.

Question: Does this part go for the 5 speed automatic 2.3l 07 Mazda 6?Yadiel A. / Jan 11, 2022
Hi Yadiel, thank you for reaching out. No, it will not fit. We do not have an oil pan available for your vehicle. We're running specials on brake parts which you can check using the link below. Have a good one.
