Leaking drain plug the one that is needed will not fitRadiator, 3.0L Turbo, Automatic Transmission

Radiator leaking around the drain plug. The drain plug for the automatic does not fit and the drain plug for the manual is too loose. Was sent a replacement and that leaks as well

Question: just installed on my 2011 335xdrive. Put it all together, added coolant and it leaks like crazy from 2 drain ports that don't have plugs. suspect the additional ports are for an automatic transmission and this DOES NOT fit a manual transmission?Kyle E. / Oct 15, 2024

Thanks for your feedback! It sounds like the radiator you installed may indeed be intended for a model with an automatic transmission, which would explain the extra drain ports you're seeing. The manual transmission versions typically don’t require those additional connections, which is likely why you’re experiencing leaks.
