Hi Fred, I'm pleased to assist you. A top-mounted thermostat is located near the water pump on the cylinder head of a 2019 GMC Sierra 3500 HD 8 Cyl 6.6L. A thermostat is also located on the top radiator hose and feeds coolant into the engine via the thermostat.
