Question: I have a 2012 LTZ Avalanche.  When I went to open the rear passenger side door, the Outside Handle Broke broke off. I bought a New Handle from Napa. After installation,  & I closed the Door, I could Not open it from Outside or Inside.  I got the Door Panel Off again & & was able to open the Door. My Friend pressed the Electric Door opener button while Door was open. The latch closed. When I hit it again. The latch would Not open.  As I looked at the latch, something didn't look right. I then Closed the door & again , it would Not Open.  So now I'm back with Not be able to Open the door from either the Inside or Outside.  Any thoughts?  Is it possible that when the Outside Handle Broke , where the Rod from the Latch to the Handle BROKE something in or on the Latch?  I haven't had the time to pull off the door panel & Check.    Thanks. Hi John, I'm glad to be of assistance to you. On your 2012 Chevrolet Avalanche LTZ 8 Cyl. 5.3L, the new door lock actuator may be defective, and the door handles may have been damaged as a result. I am going to provide you with 3 links (actuator, interior, and exterior door handles). If you don't mind, you can replace all three at once and solve the problem. Use the links below to view and place your order at discounted prices while supplies last. I hope this is helpful. Enjoy your CarParts.com online shopping experience!
