Needed considerable customization to fit my door sill including flattening the edge contour. Double-faced tape could be improved upon too as I needed to purchase thicker tape to achieve adhesion. Perhaps the item fits many other models more completely. Nevertheless, the material appears to be durable.

I customized this door sill protector to fit a 2014 Ford Escape SE. It was very easy to cut by following the markings on the back of the protector. When you know where the door sill protector will be placed, just pull off the tape on the back, place it and press it into place. Looks like it came installed from the factory. I recommend it.
