Hi Joshua, I'm pleased to assist you. The Door Trim Panel is the piece of interior trim that covers the metal frame of the vehicle's door. It typically includes the armrest, and window switch housing, and may have additional features like speaker grilles or pockets. Removing the door trim panel will indeed get rid of the trim covering the door. I'm a bit confused about what you want to achieve by "rather not have trim".
