Happy with my splash shield under coverFront Engine Splash Shield, 2.0L / 2.4L Engine
5.0/5
This item saved me $300+, from what the dealership charged. It's much better than that cheap, easy to tear, like a cardboard peice that was under there when purchased. I'm glad to have been recommended to this website to purchase the engine splash guard to protect my engine. It didn't take long for shipping either. I was thinking that I'd be waiting 2-3 weeks, but it only took a week. I know now where I can purchase parts for my Kia at a reasonable price. Thanks Car Parts😁

I appreciated that the part was sent to my address within three days of when I ordered it. I was out of town with my daughter and her car needed repairs. I was able to get the part before I left town to come back home. The only bad thing is I found out, is that there was more damage under the car and I have more parts to replace than the part I just ordered. I would use this website again!

Question: I was told by your team (3 times) that this splash shield was made of plastic before I ordered it. It is not plastic, it's some kind of fiber material. My question is how your so called experts got it wrong 3 times?Bobby S. / Nov 11, 2022
Hi Bobby, I'm glad to assist you. Almost all vehicle splash shields are made of molded plastic, thermoplastic, or the fiber material you are referring to (not unless stated as metal or other). Our technical notes and details do not mention the specific material anymore. Still, it strictly meets/conforms to the OEM part's specifications for fitment, quality, and durability. I hope this clears up the confusion.

The “fiber” will hopefully protect the car better. The original shield was flimsy and tore easily. So far, 1.5 years into the new shield, no issues, just make sure that you tell anyone changing your oil to be certain that it’s screwed back properly (that was my issue when it came loose and started to tear)

Your right it's some sort of fiber. My original one was some sort or fiber material. Also. I'm just hoping it will hold up to the elements a few years.

Question: Do you have to remove it when getting an oil change?Jjjjj / Oct 04, 2022
Hi Jan, I'm glad to be of assistance to you. Yes. To gain access to the engine oil pan and filter, remove these screws with a screwdriver and remove the engine splash shield entirely. Keep all of the screws together so they can be reused. If interested in this shield, use the link below to order at 28% off the regular price today while supplies last. I hope this is helpful. Good morning, the one I purchased was not made of plastic, it was some kind of fiber board material. It was just like factory original. Most car company's use plastic or metal but not Kia.
