Hi, Thank you for your feedback regarding the fuel pump you recently installed on your 2012 GMC Sierra 2500 HD. We're glad to hear that the installation process went smoothly and that the pump is functioning well. Regarding the issue with the fuel gauge reading, we understand how concerning that can be. Based on your description, it’s possible that the fuel level sender float may be misaligned or not communicating correctly with the gauge — this can sometimes occur if the float's angle or length is not optimal for your vehicle configuration. To assist further, we’ve sent you an email with a few questions to better understand the situation and help determine whether this is a fitment variance or a potential defect. Your response will help us provide a more accurate resolution. We appreciate your patience and look forward to resolving this quickly. Best regards, Carparts.com Team
