I replaced the headlights but used the existing bulbs.. these bulbs looked comparable to the original. I can't speak to the quality or longevity as I haven't used them yet

Hello! You would normally rotate the bulb until it sits all the way into the headlight, then the retaining spring holds it in place. Maybe your retaining spring is bent?
