Hi – are you saying your vehicle is missing the heater core mounting bracket? If so, you should replace the bracket at the same time you replace the heater core. In some instances, however, the core is held in place by a cover rather than a bracket. Whatever the retaining method, as part of the repair, you’ll want to make sure the heater core is secured in place.
